Acadia Christian School of Trenton, Maine Announces Class of 2014 Honor Parts
Trenton, Maine – Acadia Christian School has announced its 2014 honor parts.
Principal Margaret Daigle is proud to announce that Caleb Linnehan is the valedictorian of the class of 2014. Caleb is the son of Chadd and Jennifer Linnehan of Trenton, Maine. Throughout the summer following graduation, he will be detailing cars for Right Way Auto, a job he has had throughout high school. He plans to attend Liberty University in the fall of 2014, studying business management.
Caleb has distinguished himself as a student at Acadia Christian School in various ways. He has earned the highest grade point average for his class while maintaining an active role in the athletic department on the soccer and basketball teams. He was also part of the yearbook team this past year.
Mr. Linnehan has been at Acadia Christian School the longest of any of his classmates. This year, he was awarded the Maine Principal’s Award and attended the Honors Luncheon with Principal Daigle. The award acknowledged that Caleb represents the caliber of student the school desires to graduate based on academic achievement, school and community involvement, and leadership characteristics.
Annie Abbott has been named the salutatorian for the class of 2014. Annie is the daughter of Ron and Jenn Abbott of Ellsworth, Maine. Annie plans to attend Husson University in Bangor, Maine in the fall. She will be in a dual degree program, majoring in both criminal justice and psychology.
Miss Abbott has been at Acadia Christian School for all four years of her high school education. While maintaining an afterschool and summer job, she has participated in many athletic programs, including soccer, basketball and cheering. Annie enjoys the fine arts and has been active in chorus, drama clubs, speech contests and yearbook production. She has received many awards over the past four years for essay writing and public speaking. Annie’s most prominent award was just last year when she placed first in the Cole Land Transportation Museum’s State Wide Essay Contest, “What Freedom Means to Me.”
Commencement will be held on May 30th @ 6:00 PM in the Good News Center Auditorium.
