Emily Bracale returns to Bar Harbor’s Jesup Memorial Library on Wednesday, July 23 at 7 p.m. to discuss and sign copies of her new book, “In the Lyme-Light II,” detailing her journey of healing from Lyme disease.

In the spirit of helping others find the understanding, advocacy, encouragement, and support they need for their own healing, her new book includes the revised and updated story from “In the Lyme-Light: Portraits of Illness and Healing,” plus nine new chapters under the heading of “Further Reflections on Healing.” The original 28 paintings are joined by nine new works of art, all printed larger and brighter to convey the experience of viewing them in a gallery, as was originally intended.
