Blue Hill Public Library invites the public to grab your spare cardboard boxes, gently used clothing, and household items you no longer need, then join 52 Weeks of Giving to put together Give Back Boxes on Saturday January 21st, 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Give Back Box is a non-profit that seeks to keep cardboard boxes and unwanted items out of landfills by partnering with large online retailers, such as Amazon & Overstock, to reuse shipping boxes. The items then go to Goodwill stores nationwide, and the shipping costs are covered by the program making it that much easier to reuse shipping boxes you may have accumulated over the holidays, and to donate items you are no longer using. People can also volunteer to just pack and address boxes, or drop off items for others to pack. For more information contact Libby Edwardson at 374-5515.
