Come join host Gordon Bok for the 4th presentation of Working on the Water, a gathering of fishermen and mariners. Men and women who work or have worked on the water will share their experiences through original songs, stories, and poetry. Patterned after the highly successful West coast Fisherpoet’s Gathering, this event has been so well received it has spawned a similar event in Portland hosted by the Maine Maritime Museum. Joining us again will be poet-lobsterman Stefanie Alley from Islesford, as well as local storytellers Jim Sharp, Bob Bernstein, and Brian Robbins. This year’s event will also include a time for mariners and fishermen in the audience to offer a brief experience of their own – anyone wishing to be included in that portion should contact Kathy at Gordon Bok’s office at 236-2707 or kathy@timberheadmusic.com This Fall’s Working on the Water will be at Rockland’s Sail, Power and Steam Museum Saturday, November 16th, at 1:00 pm. $5/per person; kids under 12 free.
