BLUE HILL, Maine — The Blue Hill Memorial Hospital cafeteria was packed on Tuesday, May 13, with physicians, nurses, managers, and staff who enjoyed a full breakfast prepared by the dietary staff.
The Employee Recognition Breakfast was a program planned by the BHMH rewards and recognition committee to celebrate 24 employees for their years of service to BHMH.
Interim president and CEO John Ronan presented recipients with a gift and shared some entertaining facts about their work history.
“I am so proud of the fact that this event has grown over the years,” stated Ronan, according to a press release. “The loyalty and dedication of BHMH employees is quite impressive, especially at a time when we see a lot of workforce change in the healthcare industry. We are focused on making certain that BHMH is a great place to work – making improvements to our internal communications, supporting a robust rewards and recognition program, creating a team centered on culture and core values, and constantly looking for ways to acknowledge and say ‘thank you’ to our employees.”
