Eggs and Issues on ‘Obesity and Hunger in Washington County’

MACHIAS, Maine — Eggs and Issues Forum is set for this week, sponsored by the Machias Bay Chamber of Commerce. It will be held at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Helen’s Restaurant with the topic: Obesity and Hunger in Washington County. Dr. Alf Wakeman of Down East Community Hospital, Principal Brian Leavitt of Machias Memorial High School, Terri Woodruff of the AOS 96 wellness program and Joe Ferrier, nutritionist with Washington County; One Community are the guest speakers. All are welcome; guests pay for their own breakfast.

February’s Eggs and Issues, set for 7 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, is Competing in a Digital Marketplace with speakers Ryan Malagara of the IT/eBay Store, Dawn Gooch, who operates an eBay and on-line business, and Jesse Perez-Robicheau of Axiom Technologies.
