2019 Maine ACDA Conference

WINDHAM —  The Maine ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) Annual Conference will feature renowned conductor and clinician Dr. André Thomas on October 11 for choral professionals. The day will conclude with a concert by the ChoralArt Camerata under the direction of Dr. Robert Russell. On October 12th, the University of Southern Maine will host Dr. Thomas for a pre-professional focus day. Student chapters of NAFME, ACDA, and NATS are invited to attend.

$35 – Student ACDA Member (includes ACDA student membership cost. If student is already an ACDA member entry is free)
$50 Registration for ACDA Active Members
$100 – Non-members
.75 CEU credit available – $15. This item will be available as an addon to your ticket price during the check out process.

Dr. Nicolás Alberto Dosman is an Assistant Professor of Music-Choral Conducting and Director of Choral Studies at the University of Southern Maine (USM), School of Music.

Dr. Andre Thomas is an American composer and conductor. He recently retired as a professor of music at Florida State University and was the artistic director for the Tallahassee Community Chorus. In addition to his conducting and composition credits, Thomas is a published author, having written Way Over in Beulah Lan’: Understanding and Performing the Negro Spiritual, and numerous journal articles.
