ELLSWORTH: Woodlawn Museum will hold a series of afternoon high tea this summer. Summer dates are July 17, 24 and 31 and Aug. 7, 21 and 28, at 19 Black House Drive. Teas start at 3 p.m. and are held rain or shine. On rainy days, tea is served in Woodlawn’s Sleigh Barn. September dates are also scheduled.
“We are proud to carry on the tea tradition started by longtime Woodlawn caretaker Mrs. Eliason and look forward to visiting with both returning and new guests.” said Joshua Torrance, executive director. Catered by Ellsworth’s Flexit Café and Bakery, this summer’s menu includes an assortment of finger sandwiches and sweets that are served with Woodlawn’s special tea blends. The full menu is available on Woodlawn’s website.
The cost is $22 for Woodlawn members and $25 for non-members and includes a self-guided audio tour of the Black House. As space is limited, pre-registration is required through the calendar at woodlawnmuseum.org
