CASTINE — The Wilson Museum will hold a basket making workshop 1-4:30 p.m. Friday, July 12, at 112 Perkins Street. Spend an afternoon with Pamela Rackliffe Capurso and learn the art of basket-making. The $65 course fee includes the materials needed to make a 21″x 14″x 7″ market basket and each participant will be provided with a printed instruction sheet that can be used to create more baskets at home. Registrants will be given a short list of equipment to bring with them to the workshop. Capurso sells her baskets and other handmade items online, at the local farmer’s market and the Wilson Museum Store. You can visit her website at basketsofmaine.com. Register by July 8. Space is limited to eight participants.
