SOUTH PORTLAND — The Cromwell Center will be hosting its annual Dinner and Auction 5 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Marriott Sable Oaks, 200 Sable Oaks Drive. The proceeds from the annual dinner and auction will go directly toward funding The Cromwell Center’s school-based program that teaches the importance of disabilities awareness, inclusion and anti-bullying to children in grades 1-6. The program currently serves Southern, Central, Western and Coastal Maine, and has had to recently create a wait list due to such popular demand.
At this year’s event we will be celebrating the grand prize winner of our Caring Classroom’s contest, in which students from grades 1-6 wrote essays on how The Cromwell Center’s disabilities program impacted their perceptions on inclusion, respect and kindness. MSAD #35 will be honored with our 2019 Community Partner Award for its ongoing support of The Cromwell Center.
Please RSVP by May 10th if you are interested in attending the event.
