CAMDEN — The Camden Garden Club will hold the next event in its Winter Horticulture Series, “Container Gardens – Flowers, Herbs & Vegetables” at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Camden Public Library, Picker Room, 55 Main Street. Elizabeth Stanley will be the featured speaker. Stanley’s audience will learn about growing in containers and raised beds for beauty, convenience and accessibility and her talk will cover design, plants, growing mediums and fertility.
Elizabeth Stanley coordinates home and school gardening programs for the University of Maine Extension. She also works part-time for Lee Schneller Fine Gardens. She lives with her husband in Warren, where they grow trees, flowers and vegetables on the shores of Crawford Pond.
Camden Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club Federation of Maine and National Garden Clubs, Inc. The weekly Winter Horticulture Series is free and open to the public and will continue on Tuesdays throughout February. Guests and prospective members are always welcome.
