ELLSWORTH — The Grand will present its next “Art on Screen” in hi-definition with “Van Gogh: Of Wheat Fields & Clouded Skies” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 165 Main Street.
Helene Kröller-Müller (1869-1939) bought nearly 300 of his works in the early 20th century. The program, “Amid wheat fields and clouded skies” at the Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza, brings together 40 paintings and 85 drawings from the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, Holland. This is an exhibition that will not only tell us about Van Gogh’s art and his genius, but it will also allow us to understand the importance of drawing as part of his artistic technique. (2017. UK 1 hr. 10 min. Produced by Nexo Digital and 3d Produzioni. Not Rated.)
Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $8 for Grand members. For more information on this or other Grand events, please call the box office at 207-667-9500, visit The Grand website at www.grandonline.org or follow us on Facebook.
