BANGOR — The series “Talking about Antisemitism” will be held at 7 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 28, Feb. 4 and 11, at Congregation Beth Israel, 144 York St., with Rabbi Bill Siemers. In the wake of the deadliest attack on Jews in America’s history, the group will gather to discuss the history of antisemitism from its roots in antiquity to the present. The three presentations will be “Judeophobia in Antiquity: From Alexandria through the Early Christian Era” on Jan. 28; “A People Apart: Antisemitism in Medieval and Modern Europe” on Feb. 4; and “Antisemitism After 1948” on Feb. 11. Presented by Congregation Beth Israel and Sylvia Friedman Lecture Fund. Free and open to the public.
