Brown-tail moth presentation at Palermo library

PALERMO — The Palermo Community Library will host Eleanor Groden, professor of Entomology at the University of Maine,  at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at 2789 Route 3. Groden will discuss the health hazards presented by, and recommended management strategies of, brown-tail moths. Free to the public.

The Library has purchased an extendable (up to 25 feet) tree pruner and is making it available for Patrons to borrow for removing brown-tail moth winter webs from their trees to help combat local infestations.
