DOVER – FOXCROFT — The world of Charles Dickens’ classic ‘A Christmas Carol’ meets the magical Land of Oz in ‘A Wicked Christmas Carol,’ a new play by local award-winning playwright Bobby Keniston. Performances are 7 p.m. Dec. 7-8 and 14-15 and 2 p.m. Dec. 8-9 and 15-16 at the Center Theatre, 20 E Main Street. If you thought Ebenezer Scrooge hated Christmas, just wait until you see the Wicked Witch of the West, the cruel tyrant ruling over the Winkie people of Oz. On Christmas Eve she will be visited by many iconic spirits, forcing her to confront her past, present and future. Can this truly Wicked Witch change her ways, or is she destined to meet a watery fate? ‘A Wicked Christmas Carol ‘ faithfully blends the spirits of Dickens and L. Frank Baum in this fresh take on a holiday classic that will delight the entire family.
