FALMOUTH — Join members of the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Maine from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday Nov. 10 at 43 Foreside Road to hear a panel of experts  present information about green funeral choice. Presenters include Joyce Foley, president of Cedar Brook Burial Ground in Limington, and Katie Riposta of Direct Cremation of Maine, the only provider of “green” cremation or alkaline hydrolysis in Maine. Chuck Lakin, a woodworker, educator and home funeral advocate, will demonstrate how to make a simple wood coffin.  Keynote speakers from Green Burial Massachusetts, Carol Coan and Joan Pillsbury, will explain how advocates are working for natural burial options in Massachusetts. The Palliative Players, a group of hospice volunteers, will present an improv theater piece addressing the topic “Why Go Green?”.
