CAMDEN — The Sept. 27 meeting of the Camden Garden Club will feature Marion Gray’s presentation: “A Naturalist’s View of the St. George River and Wood Duck Marsh” beginning at 9:30 am at the First Congregational Church, 55 Elm Street. Light refreshments will be available at 9 a.m. prior to the talk which is free and open to the public.

Marion Gray has been a naturalist all her life. Her love of the outdoors and nature began with family camping trips and playing outdoors as a toddler, a love which grew and continued into adulthood.  She earned a B.S. degree in wildlife biology, and then began a 23 year career with the National Park Service in various Resource Management positions.  Currently, she is a volunteer with GRLT, leads trips for “Friends of Baxter State Park,” and is a Registered Maine Guide for women.

Camden Garden Club welcomes all guests and prospective members to the monthly meetings held April through October at the First Congregational Church. The club also hosts a Winter Horticulture Series at Camden Public Library in January and February.  Anyone interested in finding out more about the club and its activities can visit www.camdengardenclub.org or email camdengardenclub100@gmail.com .  Camden Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club Federation of Maine and National Garden Clubs, Inc.
