Hike-the-Guide: Paddle at the Littlefield Preserve

BELFAST — Are you itching to get out on the water?  We are too! Board member Roger Rittmaster and staff member Hale Morrell will lead an early spring paddle 9-11 a.m. Saturday, April 21 at the Littlefield Preserve in Belfast. Bring a boat, personal flotation device (PFD), water, binoculars, and appropriate weather gear. If you would like to participate but don’t have a boat, or if you have a boat with an extra seat, call our office (236-7091) and we’ll try to pair folks up! Email info@coastalmountains.org to register for this fun and free event.

Directions: From Route 1 turn onto Route 141/ Swan Lake Avenue, just north of the bridge crossing the Passagassawakeag River. Drive about 2 miles. Park at the Public Boat Launch along Swanville Avenue.

 

Hike-the-Guide is a series of monthly guided outings on Land Trust preserves listed in our Trail Guide. Held on the third Saturday of each month the explorations are open to all ages and abilities.  Take the Hike-the-Guide Challenge: visit 12 or more preserves by April 30, 2019 and receive an LL Bean backpack.
