ROCKLAND- On Friday, March 9, the Coastal Childrens’ Museum will be hosting its second annual fundraiser, “Shaken, Not Stirred”, at The Strand Theatre in Rockland. The event includes James Bond themed raffle baskets, hors d’ oeuvres, games, photo booth, trivia, movie screening and more.
This year’s raffle baskets are nothing short of amazing and feature items such as round trip tickets to Boston with Cape Air, a two hour cruise aboard the Bufflehead Charter, local restaurant gift certificates, memberships to local museums, an overnight stay at Rockland Harbor Hotel and a biplane ride at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. Tickets for each basket are $5/ticket or five tickets for $20.
Raffle tickets are available now for purchase at the Coastal Children’s Museum, located at 75 Mechanic Street in Rockland. On the evening of the “Shaken, Not Stirred” event at The Strand, the baskets will be on view with tickets for sale. Ticket drawing will be held just before the screening of the film, Casino Royale with Daniel Craig – ticket holders do not need to be present.
A VIP cocktail party will kick off the evening from 5 – 6:30 p.m. and feature beverages, nibbles provided by In Good Company restaurant, games and more. The evening will conclude with the featured movie, Casino Royale at 7 p.m., which is open for general admission.
The VIP cocktail party tickets cost $35 per person. For those who wish only to attend the movie at 7 p.m., a $10 or more donation at the door is suggested (cash only, please). Tickets for the VIP cocktail party may be purchased at any time, including the day of the event, at The Strand or online at www.rocklandstrand.com.
