WINTER HARBOR — Schoodic Institute invites the public to a brown bag, December 14, 2017. (NOTE: this is scheduled earlier in the month due to the Christmas holiday). The program begins at 12 Noon in Moore Auditorium on the Institute campus.
Zack Klyver will present an engaging review of the 2017 whale watch season, share perspectives on the impact of climate change on GOM whales, recount efforts to establish and defend the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Monument, provide an update on the status and conservation of the endangered Northern Right Whale, and tell us about upcoming Flukes Whale Watching tours.
Zack Klyver is the Chief Naturalist for the Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company; Founder of Flukes, a whale watch ecotour company; and graduate of College of the Atlantic.
