Please call the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital at 664-5548.
Kary started her medical career as a nurse in 2004 with an Associate’s degree in Nursing. She completed her BSN in 2013, and her MSN in 2016. During her career, she has worked in many areas of healthcare both in and out of the hospital setting. She is currently serving as a fellow in the Advanced Practice Fellowship at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Through this experience, she has found that she is particularly interested in managing patients with chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. This additional post graduate work has provided her with unique opportunities to work with, and treat, patients in multiple specialty areas, including cardiology, neurology and focused diabetes management. She hopes to utilize this experience and knowledge to better serve the patients in the Mount Desert Island community.
She is originally from the Millinocket area and still has many family members all over the state. She and her husband and son will be relocating from Starkville, MS. They are very excited about this transition in their lives and are looking forward to the many recreational activities in the area. They are particularly excited about living so close to Acadia National Park.
Kary and her husband have one son, Evan, who will be attending the sixth grade at Pemetic Elementary School this fall, and an elderly dog that will be moving with them. In her spare time, Kary enjoys reading, gardening and spending time outdoors. Her husband is an avid fisherman and looks forward to exploring the local lakes.
Kary is excited to step into her role at the clinic and looks forward to meeting all of you in the coming Months!! Kary will start seeing patients at the SWH Clinic on September 18, 2017.
