BANGOR, Maine — The United Way of Eastern Maine will hold a fundraiser Dec. 11, at Buffalo Wild Wings in Bangor, to raise money for its annual campaign.

When diners show their server the event ticket between 5 and 9 p.m., Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 15 percent of that customer’s pre-taxed food sales to the United Way Community Fund. Samuel Adams will also be there to host a beer tasting and a raffle, from which 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Community Fund.

Kate Beale, vice president of resource development for the non-profit says, “We’re very pleased to be able to offer community members an easy way to contribute to the campaign during the holiday season when money is tight for us all. It’s very exciting when we’re able to find new methods to help people give back to Eastern Maine in fun, creative ways.”

Beale said in the press release that for every dollar given to the community fund, United Way returns $4.50 to Eastern Maine. Those who want to participate can print a free event ticket at unitedwayem.org.

Raffle items include a stow away Twisted Tea Ice Shack, a Rossignol Trick Stick Snowboard, hiking backpacks, jackets, hats and much more. For more information on the event, please visit the United Way Facebook page www.facebook.com/unitedwayem.
