BOSTON — While most businesses will be celebrating Veteran’s Day on Friday, Nov. 10, the U.S. Postal Service will be open for business as usual. Carriers will be out delivering mail and retail clerks are available for postage, shipping and passport needs.

There will be no mail delivery on Saturday, Nov. 11, in honor of Veteran’s Day and post offices will be closed. Normal Post office operations and delivery will resume on Monday, Nov. 13.

If you’re shipping packages oversees to a loved one in the military for the holidays, First Class and Priority Mail for most APO/FPO addresses should be sent no later than Dec. 11 to ensure timely delivery. Priority Mail Express should be postmarked no later than Dec. 16.
