Lucia Green-Weiskel and Meghan Burns will speak as part of Sustain Wayne’s “Hope for the Future” summer talks. The presentation will be held at the Ladd Recreation Center, 46 Gott Road in Wayne at 4pm this Sunday, July 27th.
Lucia Green-Weiskel is a PhD student in political science at the CUNY Graduate Center and works on climate change policy with the Beijing-based Innovation Center for Energy and Transportation.
The Innovation Center for Energy and Transportation (iCET), a leading think tank in the areas of clean transportation, sustainable development, and carbon management, is an independent non-profit organization registered in Beijing and California. iCET’s mission is to strengthen international collaboration and provide decision makers at all levels with the urgently needed innovative solutions to solve the energy, environment, and climate crises that the world faces today.
Meghan Burns, Global Sustainability Analyst with Burton Snowboards in Vermont, will discuss the lessons she’s learned while working for a leader in the corporate sustainability movement.
The event is free and open to the public and is part of Sustain Wayne Summer Events. Sustain Wayne is an educational and networking initiative in support of a hope-filled future, one in which we can rise to the changes in our economy and environment with resilience.
