Jeffery Becton lives in Deer Isle. He graduated from Yale in 1970, with a BA in History, and received an MFA in graphic design from the Yale School of Art in 1976. In 1978 he moved to Maine. For her sabbatical she was the Coastal Studies Artist in residence at Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME. Barbara has traveled to Svalbard, for the Arctic Circle Residency aboard a tall ship, sailing 800 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Barbara’s prints and quilts have been shown internationally, with solo exhibitions in Finland, Argentina, Romania; and in numerous museums and collections in the USA.
