Tri-Town Science Fest at Hathorn Park on Saturday, August 2

Join the Newport Cultural Center, Pittsfield Public Library, Hartland Public Library, and Cornerstones of Science on Saturday, August 2nd from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Hathorn Park in Pittsfield, as we present a festival of science, with hands-on activities, events, presenters, and door prizes. Participants will be able to:
1. Build a balloon-powered car with the Children’s Discovery Museum of Augusta;
2. Experiment with Nano Science with the Maine Discovery Museum in Bangor;
3. Join in a hands-on engineering activity with Cianbro of Pittsfield;
4. Discover the science of bubbles with the Girls Scouts of Maine;
5. Learn all about the rocks and minerals of Maine with L.C. Bates Museum;
6. Partake in aerospace engineering and Maine lake watershed activities with UMaine students;
7. Visit with our friends at Healthy SV; and
8. Listen to stories and songs with storyteller Michael Parent!

So pack a lunch, bring a comfy blanket to spread on the grass, and join us as we have fun learning about science. Enter to win some awesome door prizes and visit with our friends from Sweet Frog, Scoop, and Cookie. Rain location is the Warsaw Middle School Gym.
