WATERVILLE, Maine — The next Business Breakfast, presented by Thomas College and the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, will host Mike Duguay, director of business development with Summit Natural Gas and former development director for the City of Augusta. Duguay will help you navigate the process and timelines to get natural gas to your business and home. The breakfast will be held 7:15-9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, in the Spann Student Commons Summit Room on Thomas College’s campus at 180 West River Road in Waterville.
Duguay has been on the Summit Natural Gas team since December 2012 and brings with him 13 years of experience in business development. “The integrity and principles of Summit, and what they intend to do for Maine, inspired me.”
Prior to Summit Natural Gas, he served as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Augusta, assisting in the creation of two retail shopping complexes, the establishment of a downtown development district and multiple business expansion projects. He has also served as the Executive Director of the Mid-Coast Council for Business Development (MCBD) in Brunswick, Maine and as a Business Development Specialist with the State of Maine’s Department of Economic and Community Development. Mike is a University of New Hampshire graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a minor in community development.
The Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce holds monthly informative presentations on a variety of educational business topics at Thomas College’s Spann Student Commons. The cost of the Business Breakfast is $15 for those members who register before the event and is $17 at the door. The general admission is $20 for the public.
