SummerKeys presents its final concert of the 2014 season with the return of Peter Lewy, cellist. Mr. Lewy has been a regular performer and faculty member at SummerKeys since its inception. His program will include Orientale by Enrique Granados Camina, presenting 12 Danzas Espanolas based on Spanish dance forms and popular music. Cello Sonata in A minor by French born, Paris Conservatoire student Edouard Lalo is a lovely three movement lyrical piece. The 5th Cello Suite in C minor by Johann Sebastian Bach will also be performed. In this six movement Suite based on dance forms, the A string is tuned down to G. Fantasy Tango in E flat minor, the performer’s own composition will also be featured. Le Grand Tango for Cello and Piano by Argentinian Astor Piazzola will be presented and is a single movement work with three broad sections where a conversation ensues between the piano and the cello.

SummerKeys concerts occur on Wednesday evenings and are presented throughout the summer.. Our final concert will occur on August 27. All concerts are upstairs in the Lubec Congregational Christian Church and begin at 7:30 P.M. ADMISSION IS FREE (piano tuning donations are always welcome).
