THOMASTON, ME: The Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County (PMHSKC) is pleased to announce that Sue Lindley-Howard has been elected to its Board of Directors. An expert in advertising management and production, Lindley-Howard would like to apply her diverse skills to enhance PMHSKC’s marketing and design programs.
She said: “I care very much about the safety and happiness of companion animals, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with the PMHSKC Board and Staff to enhance the quality of life for all people and pets in our area.” PMHSKC Board President Warner Vaughan added: “In addition to her concern for animals, Sue brings a wealth of leadership and marketing skills to our board. We are thrilled that she has agreed to join us.”
Lindley-Howard currently works as a freelance graphic artist for several New Jersey/New York based communications and educational resource companies. Previously, she has been Director of Studio Operations at The Eden Communications Group of Maplewood, NJ, a senior graphic artist at Gillespie of Lawrenceville, NJ, and Studio Manager at M.E.D. Communications of Woodbridge, NJ.
The PMHSKC was founded in 1989 to provide care, protection, and loving homes for abandoned and homeless companion animals in the Midcoast Maine area. The Society operates an animal shelter located between the Dexter Street Extension and Buttermilk Lane in Thomaston that is open between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday (closed Sundays). The PMHSKC provides animal support services to the towns of Rockland, Thomaston, Warren, Owls Head, St. George, Port Clyde, Martinsville, Tenants Harbor, S. Thomaston (including Spruce Head), Hope, Union, Appleton, Montville, Cushing, Matinicus, North Haven, Vinalhaven, Stockton Springs, and Morrill.
