BRUNSWICK, Maine — In an effort to raise money for a special teen mission trip to Queens, N.Y., All Saints Parish in Brunswick will sponsor a St. Patrick’s Day party at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at St. Charles Borromeo Church Hall, 132 McKeen St, featuring live Irish music, singing, Irish step-dancing and traditional Irish food.

All of the proceeds from the St. Patrick’s Day party will benefit the parish’s summer teen mission trip. In June, 28 teenagers and four adults from All Saints Parish will head to New York City to work with children and the elderly for a week.

“Following the example of Pope Francis, we want to offer this special opportunity for teens to reach out in service to those in need,” said Deacon John Murphy of All Saints Parish, in a diocese press release. “We hope through this experience they will have a deeper relationship with Jesus.”

The mission trip is being organized by YouthWorks, an organization which provides life-changing mission trips as a way to help empower teenagers to know God and be like Jesus in the ways they love and serve others. Last summer, teenagers from All Saints Parish participated in a YouthWorks mission trip to Arecibo, Puerto Rico.

Tickets for the St. Patrick’s Day party on March 15 are $10 per person and can be reserved by calling the All Saints Parish Office at (207) 725-2624.
