Time Warner Cable’s RoadRunner email remains down

Customers using Time Warner Cable’s RoadRunner email service in cities across the country have been unable to access email for the last few days.
Time Warner Cable representatives said less than 10% of their 15 million customers in 29 states — about 1.5 million — are affected by the outages.
Complaints have been logged by Road Runner customers on Time Warner’s online customer service forums, on their Facebook page by the hundreds, and on numerous other user community forums across the Internet.
Company spokesman Scott Pryzwansky said the problem affected customers in multiple markets, but it was intermittent “and the vast majority of our Internet customers weren’t affected at all.” The company declined to give specifics about the scope of the email issue.
Pryzwansky said the company’s engineers “are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”
The company’s website did not provide any other information regarding the RoadRunner email outage, and the customer service representatives responding to users in the forum did not offer any other solutions to the issue on Thursday.
In February, Time Warner Cable and Comcast Cable announced a planned merger worth over $45 billion dollars.
