(BANGOR, ME) – June 18, 2012 – The Sylvia Ross Home is a warm and inviting assisted living facility located at Ross Manor in Bangor. Now, through the Sylvia Ross Legacy Program, which provides financial assistance to eligible residents, more people are able to call Sylvia Ross “home.”
The Sylvia Ross Legacy Program is designed to help community seniors who currently do not meet the qualifications for low income housing. Eligibility for the program is based on both assisted living admission requirements and income level.
More than a century ago, philanthropist Sylvia Engel Ross was committed to making sure Bangor’s seniors would be well cared for in the future. Today, because of her vision, Rosscare is still able to help ensure seniors in our community can continue to age in place in a comfortable, trusted environment through the Sylvia Ross Legacy Program.
The Sylvia Ross Home offers both studio and one- bedroom apartments, all with the comforts of home. Residents choose from an array of amenities and services that best fit their needs. The staff is committed to providing a friendly environment that offers a wide range of social, spiritual, recreational, and educational opportunities, as well as thoughtful personal assistance.
Space is limited. So, community members who feel they may be eligible are encouraged to contact Sylvia Ross Home soon. For questions or information on eligibility, please call Jane French, Sylvia Ross Home director, at 207-992-2674.
