Public invited to progress update on EMMC modernization construction project

 BANGOR, Maine — The public is invited to Eastern Maine Medical Center Auxiliary’s annual meeting and luncheon to be held at noon on Thursday, Nov. 7, at Seasons Grille & Lounge, 427 Main S., Bangor.  The guest speaker will be Joe D’Antuono, senior manager of the EMMC Modernization Construction Project, who will present the latest progress update on this dynamic new project designed to expand the highest quality of healthcare services in the area.

 This exciting project, under way now, is focused on growing and enhancing patient services by creating additional modern, private rooms; renovating & building new, future-versatile operating rooms; renovating EMMC’s Women and Infant spaces, and consolidating the hospital’s Cardiac Services, according to an auxiliary press release.

 The community is invited to join the EMMC Auxiliary and get the “inside scoop.” Reservations are required by Nov. 1, and can be made by calling 973-7850, or by mailing a check made payable to EMMC Auxiliary to:  EMMC Auxiliary, PO Box 404, Bangor, Maine, 04402-0404.   Tickets are $20, which includes lunch (from a selection of 5 entrees) and the program.

The EMMC Auxiliary was established in 1893 and since its inception has contributed more than $3.3 million to the hospital and its programs, and has directly supported our community.
