Bradbury Mountain Arts TO HOST 13th Annual Holiday Show DEC 3rd & 4th

POWNAL, ME — Bradbury Mountain Arts (BMA) — a guild of artists and artisans from Pownal, Maine— will host its 13th Annual Holiday Show and Sale on Saturday, December 3rd, 10AM-6PM, and Sunday, December 4th, 10AM-4PM at historic Mallett Hall in Pownal (Just a few miles west of Freeport, Maine).

This year’s show will feature a number of guest artists who are new to the BMA show, as well as long-time guild members. Work will include Paintings, Prints, Turned Wood, Pottery, Painted Floor Cloths & Placemats, Jewelry, Sailcloth Bags & Totes, Granite Sculptures, Natural Wooden Dollhouses, Fleece Hats and Accessories, and Woodburning. Participants in the show are BMA members (all of Pownal): Lois Strickland, Andrea Van Voorst van Beest, Alice Kirkpatrick, Liza Nichols, Jeff Raymond and Jordan Smith; and guest artists Libby Barrett of Cape Elizabeth, Florence Lusk of Freeport, Joan Mueller of Pownal, Evelyn Dean of Pownal, Susan Tureen of Portland, Lisa Ruhman of Yarmouth, and Sharon Wilke of South Portland.

An addition this year will be African handcrafts which will be sold to benefit the Kakamega AIDS Orphan Project in Kenya. Also on Saturday, 11AM-3PM, Pownal Elementary School will offer refreshments sold to benefit IMPACT. On Sunday, visitors can enjoy live, acoustic fiddle music jam with guitar, fiddle, celtic flute, and stand up bass.

Mallett Hall, located at Pownal Center, is the town’s municipal building and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is located at 429 Hallowell Road (Rte 9), just a few miles west of downtown Freeport.

The facility is Handicap Accessible with a ramp and elevator
