Ana Antaki will lead a presentation on how to preserve garden produce with lacto-fermentation on Tuesday, August 21 at 12 noon.
An easy-to-learn, safe, and healthy method of preserving the bounty of the summer harvest, lacto-fermentation preserves nutritional content, flavor, and texture of fresh garden vegetables all year-round. Ana, together with her husband Roy, will describe the methods they use to prepare, keep, and use probiotic-promoting lacto-fermented foods.
Ana and Roy Antaki own and operate Weeping Duck Farm, an organic farm in Montville. They have been preserving their annual harvest with lacto-fermentation for many years and enjoy fresh vegetables year-round.
