BAR HARBOR — Have a fun exploring the wonders of “The Phantom Tollbooth,” with Mae Corrion at the Jesup Memorial Library starting at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, and continuing at the same time on Thursday, Jan. 2; Friday, Jan. 3 and concluding Saturday, Jan. 4.
This special read-aloud is for children 8 and older. Listen to Mae read or jump in and take a turn reading this ingenious fantasy about a bored 10-year-old named Milo who comes home to find a large toy tollbooth sitting in his room one day. Joining forces with a watchdog named Tock, Milo drives through the tollbooth’s gates and begins a memorable journey where he meets the not-so-wicked “Which,” Faintly Macabre, who gives Milo the “impossible” mission of returning two princesses to the Kingdom of Wisdom. Free and open to all.
