Carol Kutz of Shadowplay Artworks says “My art has been evolving for over 25 years with many winding paths along the way. As a young wife and mother of four children I created t-shirt art for two Maine screen printers. For many years I created wildlife art for Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. I was also a pottery finish painter for a while. I then taught art at my childrens’ school for six years. Now I am embarking on a new phase of life~ doing what I love, creating art, full time.”

She especially enjoys creating animal art of all kinds. Pet portraits and wildlife art in pen & ink or colored pencil/mixed media are her specialty. She works from photos mailed or emailed to her and some information shared about the pet, and then together a unique portrait that compliments the pet’s personality is created.

Carol will be at Arts in the Park in Belfast on July 12 and 13.
