A hand-crafted product with roots centuries old now has a home on the internet. Kurt and Kathy Cressey, owners of Pack Baskets of Maine, have launched a new website and online shopping store for their hobby turned business.

The business started as a result of downtime while both were owners of the Pine Tree Store in Grand Lake Stream. As the orders grew, both knew that selling the store and focusing on the pack basket product was the right thing to do.

“We left the business world once our daughter was born as we both wanted to do something that offered us more flexibility for our family,” stated Kathy Cressey. “We’ve never regretted the decision and we can’t wait to see what this next step will do for the business we’ve built.”

The website features the full range of Classic, Signature, and Legacy collections as well as videos showcasing the process the work behind making each basket by hand.

“We’re very proud of our quality and consistency of our baskets,” says Kurt Cressey, company co-owner. “There’s a great story behind every basket we make and now we have the opportunity to share that story with the world.”
