BANGOR — The Ohio Street Farmers’ Market opened for its eighth season on Wednesday afternoon, May 23, at Bangor Grange Hall, 1192 Ohio St. Known as “Bangor’s charming midweek market,” there are three vendors starting off the season: Rollin’s Orchards of Garland, In the Village Farm of Passadumkeag, and Derek’s Funny Farm of Bangor. Everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to meats and baked goods is available. Market manager, Rolf Staples Sr. says there is room for two or three more vendors to round out the offerings. Interested vendors may contact Staples at firstname.lastname@example.org, or at 632-4682, or drop by the market between 2 and 6 p.m. Wednesdays. The market offers a discount and Maine Harvest Bucks to SNAP/EBT users.
