LINCOLNVILLE, Maine — The Homes at Ducktrap Retreat celebrated its official groundbreaking ceremonies on Oct. 15. The project has moved from its pre-sales phase, announced earlier this year, and now begins its construction phase of the project after just 5 months, with approximately 30 percent of the project already sold out. Construction in this phase will include a new resort pool complex, a new road system, new wells planned on property and the clearing of all new home sites planned for the community at once.

“We are very pleased on how well the introduction of The Homes at Ducktrap Retreat has been received in the market from our summer pre-sale activities. Client interest and pre-sales have been extremely strong where we have our first home closing scheduled for later this month,” said A. Flint Decker, founder, president and designated broker of The New England Real Estate Co., in a company press release.

Located in Lincolnville, the 18 condominium homes sit atop the high grounds of the Ducktrap Retreat and provide owners a home ownership, resort lifestyle within a private gated community. Homes start at $190,000.

These homes are represented for sale exclusively by The New England Real Estate Co.

“We are proud to represent The Homes at Ducktrap Retreat. This opportunity for new homes in this price range combined with the planned amenities and its very special location in midcoast, Maine, over looking the Penobscot Bay may never be offered again. Homeowners seeking either a second home in Maine with all the conveniences of a resort lifestyle, or discovering the perfect year-round home in midcoast, Maine will love what they find at The Homes at Ducktrap Retreat. We believe our owners will be pleasantly surprised of the affordability with great attention to detail within each home in an Adirondack inspired architecture and of the complementary landscaping design of the expansive grounds,” said Decker.

The Retreat community offers immaculate lawns and grounds, tennis and new pool amenities and walking trails with private access to the Ducktrap River. The homes are nestled among both protected tress and open space within 30 combined acres, with 40 percent of the surrounding wooded land held in permanent conservation protection, offering owners mountain and water views of the upper West Penobscot Bay, and walking trails throughout the property. In addition, owners at The Homes at Ducktrap Retreat will have direct ocean beach access via membership at Point Lookout Resort, providing a total of three access points to water for owners including the community’s new pool complex, private walking access to the Ducktrap River and private beach access to the Penobscot Bay.
