DEXTER, Maine — The North Country Riding Club has a full schedule for the upcoming months. This year’s season will start off with a “Horsemanship Clinic” with Instructor Katie Bragdon on May 12 at Bud Ellms Field in Dexter. Katie is a well-known rider and instructor in this area. Topics of interest will deal with grooming, showmanship in English and Western pleasure and equitation for all ages (from lead liners to adults). Katie would like to have the format as a mock show so to give each participant individualized instructions. Registration starts at 9. See our website for more information.

NCRC believes in making our shows a family affair; therefore, our shows consist of classes for lead liners to adult. This year our club will be having two equitation shows and five game shows. Our shows at the Bud Ellms Field are: June 3—Game Show; June 17—Equitation Show; July 8—Game Show; August 5—Equitation Show and October 7—“Trick or Treat” Game Show. The Club will again be at the Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds in Dover-Foxcroft on August 26 for a game show and at Garland on September 9 during Garland Days.

NCRC cannot wait to see our old and new riders. So get those horses ready for a great family time. Visit our website or on Facebook for more information.
