NAMI Bangor to offer basics course for parents

BANGOR — NAMI Bangor, the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is offering a free course called “NAMI Basics” beginning on Monday, Feb. 25

NAMI Basics is an educational program for parents and other primary caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illnesses. The course is taught by a team of trained teachers who have lived experience as parents of individuals who developed symptoms of mental illness as children. NAMI Basics incorporates presentations, discussion, and interactive exercises.
