The Camden Rotary Club will bring four live band performances to Camden on July 4th for this year’s Music-by-the-Sea Concert in Camden Harbor Park and Amphitheatre – a major event during the Midcoast Festival of Independence.
An Independence Day tradition since the late 1980s, this free public concert is organized by the Camden Rotary Club and sponsored by Rotary members, local businesses and individuals.
These groups will perform from mid-afternoon until just before Camden’s spectacular fireworks celebration:
2:00 pm – 3:15 pm: The Muellers – Maine’s best family bluegrass band;
3:30 pm – 4:15 pm: The Midcoast Community Band – Marches, Broadway, and popular tunes;
5:00 pm – 6:15 pm: Reina del Cid – A spirited folk rock group from Minneapolis;
7:45pm – 9:00 pm: David Dodson and The Lowdown, featuring John and Rachel Nicolas. Camden musician and singer- songwriter David Dodson has shared the stage with some of the nation’s best artists.
There will be plenty of excitement in downtown Camden right before the concert begins, as antique cars parade along Main Street and arrive on Atlantic Avenue from about 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.
