The International Homecoming Festival is excited to host a fun motorcycle run, and all are welcomed to come out for a great ride while supporting a great cause.

The ride will start in Calais on Saturday, June 1st, with registration from 10:00 to 11:00 at the triangle park, across from The Schooner and Karen’s Korner Pub. Together, those participating will head to Lubec where riders can opt for a fantastic lunch at Cohill’s. Folks will have time to relax, socialize, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and check out the great shops Lubec has to offer. They then will travel back together to Calais where the ride will end at the triangle park.

The fee to take part, which benefits the International Homecoming Festival, is $10 per bike with an additional $5 for a rider. Car lovers are also invited to tag along behind for a $25 donation per car, so feel free to go topless (your car that is!). All will have chances to win door prizes and can purchase 50/50 tickets.

The International Homecoming Festival committee is pleased to also recognize Next Step Domestic Violence Project and will donate a percentage of proceeds to that organization. To show support of domestic violence awareness, wear purple!

This year marks the 40th year for the International Homecoming Festival, an event that celebrates the friendship between the bordering towns of St. Stephen, New Brunswick and Calais, Maine. A small group makes up the committee which has been busy raising funds for costs such as fireworks, parade bands, and new this year, several bounce houses to line the waterfront, all brought to Calais by The Maine Jump. One of these bounce houses consists of a giant water slide–the largest of its kind in New England.
