Millinocket Elks Lodge 1521 Holds Installation of Officers

The new officers for Fraternal Year 2014-2015 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1521 were installed at the Millinocket Lodge on Saturday March 29, 2014. The Installation team welcomed incoming officers; Exalted Ruler Ron McInnis Sr. by Grand Exalted Ruler John Nicholson, Loyal Knight Jay Russell by Grand Esteemed Loyal Knight Tim Smyth, Esquire Everett Hale, Treasurer Jeff Neal, Tiler Bruce Jandreau, and Inner Guard Ron Darling, and House Committee member Rod Cyr by Grand Esquire David VanDine, Esteemed Lecturing Knight Lynn Dumas by Grand Esteemed Lecturing Knight Ray MacDonald, Esteemed Leading Knight Corey Hannafin by Grand Esteemed Leading Knight Peter Pray, Chaplain Richard Brown, by his daughter Grand Chaplain Bobbie Allen, and Secretary Gerald Slugger Barnes by Grand Secretary Herk Harold Plourde. There were also two sets of three generations of Elks members in attendance; Chaplain Richard Brown, his daughter outgoing Chaplain Bobbie Allen, and her daughter member Kristy Allen, Ron McInnis Sr. his daughter Cathy McInnis, and her daughter member Angela Levesque. Ron also has a son Ron Jr. and daughter-in-law Michelle McInnis who are members. Family and friends of the new officers attended the event which was put on by the Kitchen & Serving Crew led by Jean Plourde, Ed and Heather Craig, David and Theresa Violette, John Allen, Tim Beaulieu, Lynn Conary, Gilmay Boucher, Rhonda Madore , and Lorna Chamberlain.
Elk of the Year was awarded to Tim Beaulieu for all of his hard work for the Lodge. Officer of the Year was awarded to John Nicholson for his tireless work he has done for the Lodge. Outstanding Citizenship Award was awarded to Ellen VanDine for her work in the community and for the Lodge.
