Microchip and rabies clinic at Bangor Humane Society

BANGOR, Maine — Bangor Humane Society will hold a special, one-day microchip clinic, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mount Hope Ave.

Also, BHS is partnering with Broadway Veterinary Clinic, which will provide one-year rabies vaccinations administered by Dr. John Benson, DVM, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. the same day.

The cost is $15 for each microchip, which is a $5 discount on the normal fee; and $15 for each rabies


BHS also has several different styles of pet identification tags available starting at $8 each, plus tax, including engraving.

Also, to help promote canine adoption and the importance of microchipping, BHS is offering a

weeklong promotion on all adult dog adoptions  June 9-14. All adopted dogs will receive a free microchip and all canines 7 months and older will be 50 percent off.
