As spring weather warms up, the flowers on the Michael Michaud Multi-use trail begins to bloom. Weather has taken its toll in some of the plants as well as vandalism of some of the lilac trees. Bobbie Allen who is the volunteer gardener/landscaper of the two sections of the walking path portions of the trail is looking for donations to help replace plants, mulch, and fill the lawn tractor and mower with gas. Last year she used her own money to pay for the gas for equipment for maintaing the beds and water to water the plants. This year she and her husband came up with an idea to use a portable generator and bilge pump to get water from Millinocket Stream. The donations pay for the things needed for making the path full of beautiful flowers and to maintain the planting beds. Checks can be sent to Bobbie at 142 Westwood Ave
Millinocket, ME 04462-1916 or given to her as she works on the path. Anyone with plants or bulbs they want to share are also welcomed to donate.

Bobbie invites visitors to come and walk the path and enjoy the beautiful views of Mt. Katahdin and Millinocket Stream. It is a little more than 1.7 miles long containing flat walking areas for those wanting less impact and one hill which can be used for the more adventurous walker.
