BRUNSWICK — Mechanics Savings Bank presented a $1,000 check to the Oasis Free Clinics on Dec. 4 as part of their charitable giving program.
Brian Robinson, Business Service Specialist at Mechanics Savings Bank and a member of the Oasis Board of Directors, presented the donation and talked about their commitment to Oasis’ work. “We are proud to be a supporter of Oasis,” said Mr. Robinson. “Their work makes a real impact in our community. At Mechanics Savings Bank, giving back is one of our core values, and we are happy to support the work that Oasis does to provide free medical and dental care to those who need it.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Mechanics Savings Bank,” said Anita Ruff, Oasis Executive Director. “Oasis exists because of the tremendous community support we receive, and we are grateful that Mechanics Savings Bank has chosen us as a recipient of their generosity.”
The Oasis Free Clinics provide free medical, mental health, and dental services, as well as prescription assistance, for uninsured, low-income residents of Freeport, Durham, Brunswick, Harpswell and Sagadahoc County (except Richmond which has a federally qualified health center). Last year, Oasis helped 357 uninsured adults receive comprehensive primary care, mental health, and dental services. They also secured $1 million in free or reduced cost prescriptions through the Community Prescription Assistance Program.
