TOPSHAM, Maine — Three attorneys from the Topsham-based law firm McTeague Higbee were recently selected for inclusion in the 2015 edition of “The Best Lawyers in America,” a peer-review survey in which more than 52,000 attorneys cast nearly 5.5 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas.
Jeffrey Cohen was named Southern Maine “Lawyer of the Year” in the specialty of workers’ compensation. Cohen also was recognized by his peers in the area of personal injury litigation — plaintiffs. He is the managing partner of McTeague Higbee and a member of the Maine State Bar Association, Maine Trial Lawyers Association and American Association for Justice. A resident of Brunswick, Cohen earned his B.A. from Colby College and his law degree from New York Law School.
Karen Bilodeau was selected for inclusion in the specialty of workers’ compensation law — claimants. Bilodeau is a parter of McTeague Higbee. A resident of Auburn, she earned her B.A. from Bates College and her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law.
G. William Higbee was selected for inclusion in the specialties of workers’ compensation — claimants — and personal injury litigation — plantiffs. He is an attorney of-counsel at McTeague Higbee, having founded the firm in 1976. A resident of Brunswick, Higbee earned his B.A. from DePauw University and his law degree from Washington University School of Law.
