BANGOR, Maine — Manna has received only 600 turkeys toward the 6,600 it needs to fill requests for assistance over the Thanksgiving holiday. Last year at this time, the organization that helps those in need had more than 1,200 turkeys in the freezer, according to a Manna press release.

Manna also has received no fixings, including stuffing, cranberry sauce and vegetables, to distribute with the birds.

Any help members of the community might give would be appreciated. For information, call 990-2870. Manna is located at 629 Main St.
